STRENGTH TRAINING FOR RUNNERS
We know how tiring it can be to write your own strength routines or to always be searching youtube for a new routine. We also know how important strength training is to help decrease the likelihood of running-related injuries.
As physical therapists, we specialize in writing workouts for injured runners to get them back to running healthy and stronger than before. Knowing what is needed to rehab an injury helps us design a better strength program to prevent injuries in the first place.

Our philosophy takes 4-week training blocks, where we build upon the previous week's workouts before we change them entirely the following block. We've found this is how to get the best long-term results.
While you can do the workouts either at home or at a gym, we suggest you have access to weights. You can get stronger with bodyweight exercises and bands, but eventually your muscles will adapt. You will need external load to continue to adapt and get stronger.
All of our workouts can be done with light weights around the house, or you can add weight by investing in a few kettlebells, dumbbells, or a barbell. We provide the recommended sets/reps and you adjust the difficulty with the amount of weight you use.
