1 - 1.5 hours. An Initial Evaluation includes:
An in-depth discussion about your history including: current injury, previous injuries, running log/training history, footwear, etc.
Objective tests and measures are then performed to find a PT diagnosis and any strength limitations or mobility deficits.
A home exercise program is then developed based on the previous findings as well as the most up-to-date evidence-based research.
Further education is also provided when needed on topics such as training progression, footwear, and the relevant anatomy & physiology to understand your situation. Our goal is to teach you the tools you need to get yourself back stronger and more resilient.
Follow-up appointments are scheduled on an as-needed basis.
We want to get you where you want to be in as little visits as possible.
Initial Evaluation - Rehab an Injury
Initial Evaluation - Prehab/Individualized Strength Training
PT Evaluations are more frequently performed for those currently dealing with an injury, however we often will schedule one for the runner who would like a prehab routine to get strong and avoid injury.
In this scenario, you have two options:
1. schedule follow up appointments as needed to progress your strength/mobility routine.
-$100 per 60 min session
2. Commit to 3 month strength training blocks with individualized programming at $100/month.
-Combine the Initial Evaluation and 3 months of individualized strength training for $400.
1.5 - 2 hours. Includes everything from the Initial Evaluation, but also a running gait analysis.
Depending on your individual needs and goals, we look for many things throughout the upper and lower body. These can include adjustments to:
- minimize stress to the injured tissues
- improve running efficiency
- improve running power and performance
Follow-up sessions targeted toward gait retraining will be recommended if necessary. When indicated, gait retraining can have an astonishing effect on running pain-free and running performance.
We have found this process works best if you are able to record yourself running from multiple angles and send it to us before the scheduled appointment.
Initial Evaluation with Gait Analysis
1-hour follow-up appointments are scheduled as needed. Our goal is to get you to where you want to be in as little visits as possible.
Follow-ups vary significantly based on the patient's needs. May include a reassessment of tests, progression of exercises, progression of the home program, education, etc.
